this ship, named "Lanmei", is a new type of ship tailored for Fook Mau shipping group of the United States. It is not only the largest tonnage Cape of good hope bulk carrier built in the world at present, but also the largest tonnage ship exported by China to the United States so far

the ship is 299.92 meters long, 50 meters wide and 25 meters deep, with a design draft of 16.1 meters and a speed of 15 knots. The 206000 ton Cape of good hope bulk carrier, as an upgraded product of the original 170000 ton traditional Cape of good hope bulk carrier, has been launched since it was officially launched on October 15, 2009. By the end of September this year, the order of this ship type had reached 23, becoming another fist product of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd

with the sharp increase of bulk cargo transportation volume such as iron ore, it is an inevitable trend to develop environmentally friendly, economic and large-scale bulk carriers.
