Development trend of pharmaceutical printing blister packaging materials

Aluminum foil, ink and adhesive used for aluminum foil can meet the needs of the domestic printing industry. In the coming period, China will greatly increase the high-quality aluminum foil blister packaging of drugs to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical market. Therefore, pharmaceutical aluminum foil printing materials, pharmaceutical aluminum foil printing inks, auxiliary materials adhesives, and pharmaceutical PVC materials in pharmaceutical printing and packaging materials are pharmaceutical packaging materials with good development prospects in pharmaceutical flexible packaging and printing at present. Based on the current situation of the use of aluminum foil, special printing ink, adhesive and PVC as pharmaceutical printing materials in China, this paper discusses the development trend of pharmaceutical printing blister packaging materials in the future

at present, there are many kinds of printing inks in the market, with different brands. However, considering the printing process of medicinal aluminum foil and the special requirements of drug packaging, its printing ink must have good adhesion to aluminum foil, firm and clear printed words and patterns, fast solvent release, good heat resistance, excellent friction resistance, good gloss, non-toxic pigment, and will not pollute the packaged drugs due to the migration of chemical components in the ink The practical viscosity should meet the process requirements of aluminum foil printing. From the requirements of these aspects, the inks currently used in aluminum foil printing are mainly divided into two categories:

the first category: alcohol soluble polyamide inks when selecting to detect the fatigue life of springs. Because polyamide resin has good adhesion to all kinds of printing materials, it is especially suitable for printing polyolefin films. In addition, it has good dispersion, good gloss, softness, good wear resistance, good solvent release and printing performance, so it is mostly used to match gravure surface printing ink specially used for printing on the surface of treated LDPE, CPP, OPP and other films. Because of its wide application, anti adhesion and easy drying, this ink is also used for surface printing of medicinal aluminum foil. This kind of ink can show all kinds of excellent properties when printing aluminum foil, and its heat resistance can also meet the requirements of aluminum foil printing and use. It is the most widely used type of pharmaceutical aluminum foil printing at present. However, this kind of ink is not a special ink for aluminum foil surface printing after all. The existing problem is that the ink peeling phenomenon has occurred when the linear relationship of the large area surface of aluminum foil can be detected by tensile test. At present, domestic ink factories can produce polyamide inks for aluminum foil intaglio surface printing. The use of some users shows that the ink has good heat resistance and strong adhesion. The printed text and pattern are still clear and do not change color after the high temperature heat sealing test at 200 ℃

the second type of ink is a special ink for aluminum foil with vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate copolymerization resin and acrylic resin as the main components. This is a newly developed intaglio printing ink, which is characterized by bright color, high concentration, particularly strong adhesion to aluminum foil, good transparency, and excellent metal luster reproducibility of aluminum foil. However, due to the intaglio printing ink, its solvent volatilization is large, which is easy to cause the ink drying in the ink hole of the intaglio roll when used in the surface printing of aluminum foil. In the future, more factories will be established to produce the paste phenomenon, which will affect the printing quality

the above two inks have shortcomings when used in the surface printing of medicinal aluminum foil. If the composition of the mixed solvent of the second type of aluminum foil special inks is adjusted to meet the needs of aluminum foil surface printing, they will be more used in the surface printing of aluminum foil
